Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Kiss me like you mean goodbye,
SAID THE SPIDER TO THE FLY!!

She seemed to hold her breath, waiting for his question, the hope in her gemstone gaze enough to make him want to take her right then. She made him want to forsake his game before it ever even truly started, but he was a battle commander. Lucifer held himself in check, keeping his face blank and his body relaxed as he interviewed his soul mate. Her responding lyrics see his eyes flash angrily toward Spring Grounds, where he knew his queen was from, the thought of her forced into anything enough to make him want to kill every wolf breathing outside his pack. The question she asked in retort had been a little expected, though it was no less shocking to the ears. Had he been with another female? "There were possible matches, my father was alpha of our pack, and many wanted his heir. I am selective, none of them even made me raise my brow much less stir my loin. No, there have been no others." He gives her a dashing smile, one that says his next question will be harder.

"When you came to Malignant, was it only because you were injured, or were you hoping I would take care of you?" Black, blunt claws dig their tips in the earth as he rose, moving to come closer. White muzzle leaning forward to boldly inhale her scent, letting his multi-hued pelt to mingle with the shadowy glory of Lucaya's. He had held himself back for too long, wanting her to be settled, to know her better. The king needed a queen, and Lucaya was certainly a queen in every way. His wolves wouldn't listen to her simply because she was his - they were also his in a different way. The pack would listen to Lucaya because of her drive and ambition. Lucifer knows the midnight regent was his match in every way. The sweetness of her lilac scent perforated his nostrils and he was drunk, inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly. He adored how her scent matched the spruce spice of his own cologne, it gave a sweetness where he was nothing but burn.

The Morningstar does not relent in his proximity, as alpha it was his right to take space from subordinates, but this did not have the invasive feel of all that. With her head at his throat she could easily snap him away, if she so wished, but Lucifer had a feeling she would not. Ever observant, the demon king had in fact seen the sheen of adoration and lust, the love that she tried to hide. Her masks were nothing to him, just as she could see if something were bothering him. There was unshakable trust between them, and perhaps a bit of a savior syndrome going on with Lucaya - one he would not hesitate to capitalize on if it meant she would be his mate. It was all he could do to continue the game, but with his head resting atop Lucaya's with a tenderness he had never shown anyone, he felt time stop and wished to stay this way with her forever.
