The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Her young face turned to one of confusion and concern. The wolf in front of her had saved her life from someone who wanted to eat her. There was nothing she could see that would cause others to want to attack him. If anything, he should have been welcomed as a hero with open arms. Another soft whine came from high in her throat, her tail quivering as she looked up at him, hopeful that he was not in more trouble than what he was telling her.

Standing she moved to leave gently against his side, careful to avoid touching any of his obvious wounds.

“They have to be mistaken! You wouldn’t have done anything to hurt them, I am sure of it.” Her voice was firm and confident. She even exhaled a small breath through her nose as if that decided the matter. Touching her nose gently to his shoulder she retreated back into her mind for a moment. She had always known he wouldn’t have left her on purpose, she trusted him more than that. But now, with him injured next to her she felt the need to try to help him as he had seasons ago. There were some herbs she knew that would numb a paw if it had a thorn in it. Others would cloud his mind and take him away from the pain as it healed.

Two tones eyes looked up at him and head tilted. “I can… I can try to help? I ate some plants that helped me feel better, maybe they will help you, too?” Her tail started to beat excitedly. “And then I can go back to the bad wolves! Tell them the truth about you!” A toothy grin spread and shined up at him. “I can help!”
