Her attention on the children of Asteraia remained on them for a while. Dark sapphire eyes watched as the child of night and the child of day ran through the dark brown grasses, enjoying each other’s company. Dark ears pointed forward as she listened to their laughter and barks of joy, the Monster quite content. Though as soon as they ran back over the hill she turned around and listened to the unknown female utter that she was asked if she were food. While Tick Tock’s mauled face remained impassive within her mind she found it quite humorous that this wolf was frightened of a one year old wolf. Her voice softly slipped out as her eyes remained focused on Taika, answering the girl’s statement.
“I’m not surprised, she is my child and Tobias’ child. She has seen Tobias and his other children consume wolf, but she hasn’t experienced it herself.”
There wasn’t much left to say on the matter. Truly the Monster was impressed that her own daughter would actually ask if another wolf was food rather than just simply attacking one. Her ear twitched as her azure eyes shifted to look at Tithe now as he asked his first question. Without any hesitancy the Monster replied to his inquiry nonchalantly, hardly bothered by such a question.
“Yes and no. There are some wolves here that like the taste of wolf flesh, but they feed off wolves within the loner lands, not each other. There are also some wolves here that do not eat other wolves, but, they respect the other wolves’ choices. It is a harmonious pack, one first of its kind, a place where everyone can be as themselves and not have to hide it, be ashamed about it, or persecuted. I made this place where all would be accepted and I think it shows to the other packs as well – that they don’t have to always kill a wolf that is different from them.”
She was not one that would lie or hide things that were truth. She was quite an honest wolf. Always very forth coming should one ask a question in the correct way. It was true that within the fields were wolves that are the flesh of others, but their numbers were not much. Most of the wolves here were like every other wolf. She did not tell her members to seek out just wolves that ate others of their own kind nor did she tell them to only seek out wolves that did not eat other wolves. All she was looking for were members that were willing to serve the pack and provide their strengths in order to care and protect one another. She was proud of the wolves that lived within the fields, proud that their differences did not alter their ability to be strong and treat each other fairly and respectfully. It was when he inquired about the former prisoner did she once again easily answered him once more, again not bothered all his second question.
“She challenged Tobias. She wanted to fight him, why I did not know, but I do know that if he won the challenge then she would come and be a prisoner here. She lost and lived here with us and served her term without problems. No one attacked her and no one threatened her while she was in Asteraia. I came by a few times dropping off a rabbit or two, but her presence was quite indifferent to myself and others. She was a good prisoner I think, kept to herself, didn’t stir up anything or attack anyone. Once her time was up she left and I haven’t heard about her or caught her scent.”
Each other her answers were filled with honesty and truth. She was a brutal honest creature and she was quite open with Tithe, a wolf that was not of her ranks. She was not bothered or even concerned. However, when he was finished with his questions she brought her dial upwards, proudly as she promptly educated these two on her role and the affects that came from it.
“It should be noted that as soon as I took Asteraia, Tobias and his mate have not caused terror within the other packs and attacked their members. It should be noted that not one of my wolves attacked another pack wolf. Although I hear that there is some wolf that thinks he is a God, Zeus, and his partner Dieloh, a member of Glorall, have been going about and attacking the Diveen wolves – neither of these wolves are not from Asteraia and I’ve never met them before. I brought peace to Moladion and yet not one single soul has come to notice it or even voice appreciation of such things. Do you have any more questions Tithe?”
She was quite comfortable within her fields answering whatever he wished to ask her.
