. strong in silence .
She awaits him rather patiently, patient for her at least as she is able to hear his movements within the darkness. Her ears flick toward the sound as he finally emerges, long tail waving gently at her heels in the only noticeable sign of greeting she gave him. Others might think her weaker for not having a voice, not being able to communicate vocally at least beyond a rough grating sound that came from her throat if she ever tried, but they would be sorely mistaken to think her lesser for it. Language was more than just fickle words that most spoke without a second though, she communicated with her body, with more meaning that and thought than most would ever dream of and there is power in that. She takes liberties with Eden, something she did not do with others and the reason for that she isn’t quite sure but as her bright blue eyes gauge his approach, tempered as always yet she can sense his own brand of pleasure at seeing her. Another thing not speaking gave you was more time to pay attention to whom you were looking at.
He takes his time and she would expect no less of him nor rush him in any way as she waits with her prize, enjoying the way his golden eyes turn back to its brilliant plumage. When he finally approaches he looks more at the bird than herself; she lowers her head to better scrutinize the intensity of his gaze and the way she could almost see the gears beginning to turn in his mind. Eden had a brilliant mind, though she suspected many might underestimate him they would be just as mistaken with him as they were with her, but it is what she respected most about the man. Finally he looks to her with a question, his voice causing her ears to twitch once more combined with the way he watched her so closely, knowing it was necessary yet still appreciating that he did so.
Exhaling sharply she looked north, brilliant azure eyes narrowing at the distant tree tops of the woodland that no one could own, Enocra most called it but she had little need for names she would never speak. She looked back to him, a sly sort of smile playing on her fine features before she snapped sharply twice in the air and looked back down to the bird. It had been a feat to catch him, impressive though no one would have seen it. She was a warrior by choice, by there were few swifter or lighter on their feet than she and in another life she could have been a great huntress.
With excitement sparking in her blue eyes she watches as he expertly dissects the kill, pleased that he saw fit to share the gift with her. She stretches out her slender neck, licking the dazzling blue before closing her small mouth around the bird until fragile bones crack and the taste of a sweet meat, different than gull or pheasant even. Chewing the meat she pulls her small head back once more, eying her alpha to see his own reaction, the force of her gaze enough of a question that she was sure he would understand their meaning.
