Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

It was clear he was suffering from some kind of internal conflict. Isolde watched him, saw the light in his eyes change until his expression grew violent again as he glared at her. She did not return it but simply looked at him with the same kind eyes she had inherited from her mother. The accusations continue as he curses. He hates her eyes looking at him with sympathy and he lets her know it and yet she does not ease up. Though she could never truly understand the impact imprinting had had on the male, she did feel its voice whispering in her ear. The bond made her want to help him, made her feel sorry for him. It made her want to stay here with him as just his presence next to her seemed to calm some kind of storm in her soul she didn’t know she had. Was this how Mom felt when Dad was around?

It seems she had further confused him and she sighed deeply, closing her eyes a moment as she thought of another way to explain this to him. “I don’t mean bound together in the literal sense. What I mean is that we…” she hesitated. How could she explain this? In her world, imprint simply was. Her father and mother were imprinted and they had fallen in love. All her life, Isolde had thought this is just how it was, but it didn’t feel like it now. Maybe she was just as confused as Segin.

As she thought this, the brindle wolf demanded that she was to undo what Fate had done. She simply shakes her head sadly and looks at him with soft eyes. “I’m sorry. This can’t be undone no matter how much you curse and snarl. We are imprinted for life. No one did this, it just simply is. I’m sorry.”

She didn’t know why she was apologizing, like she had done something wrong. The confusion and anguish he was feeling made her feel solemn and insecure. This wasn’t right! They were supposed to fall in love and live happily ever after! Why did she feel like things would never be the same now? She would always have the brindled beast stalking her steps whether either of them wanted it or not. No answers came to her that she could understand so she remained quiet, just staring at him as he tried to make sense of what was happening in his upside down world.
