this is what salvation must be like after a while
Alistair found himself wondering what had caused the two to become as close as they appeared to be. They seemed to be at ease with each other and he felt out of place with the two friends, he felt judged by Eden and eager to impress Solaris. He wondered if Glorall's alpha had picked up on his deafness yet, but if he had, the boy was grateful that it had not been mentioned. He waited patiently for a response before Solaris began to speak, and Alistair turned to catch the words that fell from his lips, but it was in a language he did not understand. He furrowed his brow, trying to pick up on anything he could, but it was futile. He simply did not understand the tongue in which Solaris spoke, and he thought it to be the language of Angels, a skill that he had not yet picked up on.
He wondered what words had passed between them, but he did not comment. It was clearly not his place to know yet he still found himself curious of what had been said. Alistair gave Solaris a look of inquiry and curiosity, though it was likely he would not receive an answer for these were words passed in secret. He did not comment but it was clear that he was curious, his eyes slightly narrowed as he glanced between the two wolves, hoping that his decision not to speak would not be looked down upon.
Solaris seemed to be content with his answer. This is good, Alistair. He caught the words and offered a few wags of his tail, proud that he had impressed his mentor. He looked towards Eden then, eyes focused on his lips. Truly, a standard proposal. Taviora is a pack with many allies. Glorall is not. What, then, might occur lest an ally of Taviora find issue with Glorall?' Alistair took a moment to think. It was a difficult question but he knew that he was being tested this time, tested to make sure that he truly had the makings of a diplomat. He turned to Solaris. What do you think, Alistair, may be done in such a situation? What is it you would suggest? Let us know your answer and then I will speak my own and we shall see if they align.'
Alistair nodded and prepared himself to speak. "I believe that it would be paramount to gather a grouping of diplomats from each pack. For a peace talk, of sorts- to figure out what Glorall had done to wrong the other pack, and to ensure that their alliance with Taviora was still steadfast. If the issue is too big to be fixed by these talks, then I think it would come to choosing sides. An outcome that is less than preferable, but one that could be necessary, perhaps based upon how long the alliance has stood between each pack." He finished, his voice still holding that same confidence. Falling silent once more, he looked between each wolf to gauge their reaction. He could only hope that he had done as well as he had with the first answer.
