Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

There is no room for reluctance in this run, no room to be timorous, for they let instincts guide them. Jackdaw is a studied creature but he is also one of interminable confidence that is only shaken by the way she looks at him. Still they move like a school of fish, sinuous, following the lead of the other in a way that makes his heart beat like a drum. It is possible that her own fear mingles within him to create a chemistry that pumps through his veins. If so he would call it intoxicating. Elara was truly a witch for her very essence now resided within him. Not once has he felt a pang of loneliness, not truly, for Jackdaw was settled within himself. His own presence was often so large that it felt as if he was with another wolf yet in these moments as they pause and they sing and he feels her staring at him in that alarmed but intrigued manner, he feels as if he has always been lonely and she was the only thing that could ease such an ache.

While she remains reticent to his entreaties, Jackdaw's face is open in an ubiquitous way to reveal it all, the wonder that he feels as he talks to her. Sola Stella, she says, and the click of her teeth seems loud around them while his head tilts to the side in obvious question. What did she mean by such foreign words? He wants to demand and beg that she tell him, his body practically straining to get closer to her. "Memory can never be lost and is never inconsequential. It can be the very flame that keeps us alive and gives us hope. I'll never forget this memory of you, right here, right now." His voice is starkly naked in it's sincerity as he stares into her yellow eyes, thinking that yellow has never looked so wonderful before.

Elara is inimical to his advances, her face snapping out towards him and he can feel her teeth catch on the tender flesh of his muzzle. Immediately he withdraws. Some wolves might show their complete infatuation by allowing the pinch but he shows his strength and keeness to pulling away, his own brows furrowing, her huff making him huff in return, laced with a low rumble of disapproval at her displeasure. This was a beautiful moment, why would she ruin it with such displeasure? You are more a witch than I, are you not? Suddenly he grins at her and it is a deadly grin, predatory in nature as he takes a step towards her in response to hers as she shuffles back. "Aye, I am, and I cast my spell over you. In return you can know me - I am Jackdaw but you may call me Jack for I am yours and you are inescapably mine." He claims her with his words because he can sense she does not want to be claimed but maybe she needs it. And he thrills at such a dominant thrill but also because she is like a drug to him.

She lurches away but he follows without thought, blithe and agile, the wicked grin still curving across his maw in his movements. It tempts her to run, dares her to run, to flee, for he would chase her down and he would track her everywhere. She was a star caught in his web and this spider wouldn't be letting her go anytime soon.
