News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

strange things have happened here,
no stranger would it be

Okay, yes, I am irritated at myself for having to blabber like an idiot to explain my position. I much prefer sorting everything out through teeth and the art of war, but life is not that simple. I can only hope that he understands my position and I can just get some work done for him. Whatever he wants, as long as it is not singing den songs to the pups of the back. I would simply shudder and vomit at the idea. I guess I did appreciate his large den with plenty of room. I didn't exactly enjoy being huddled up while trying to talk business, so this was not as bad it could be.

His answer about the bones he kept close to himself was simply...odd and quite honestly not acceptable. Just a couple of bones? I know that my face did not hide my skepticism with my lifted brow, and burrowing intense blue eyes.

"Yeah, right, just a couple bones...If you don't want to talk about it, that is fine, but I can tell those are not just a couple of bones," I say directly. Some would say that I have a naturally uncaring and rather harsh voice- but in a feminine way that I try to mask with a bit of deepness...but my voice is not deep despite that I wish it were. Legs do not tend to tremble in fear to a valley girl voice. Nature sure does hate me, hm?

At least he appears to listen and...he may even be taking interest...even taking me seriously. I find that his attention holds and that he seems rather respectful, although a bit surprised at my direct question at what I needed to do to prove my continued worth in this forsaken world. His response then took ME by surprise, although it only showed through my ears pulling back slightly. Nothing? No one has ever asked for nothing from me. Perhaps he does remember my position under the previous Queen, and recognizes that what Dany saw in me still applies. I can respect that, as Dany was no idiot, and I would hope that he could see value in her previous opinions. He continues on and I sit tall as he explains his position from my rather wordy presentation. I am even more surprised when he continues to acknowledge the work I have done and offers me one of the higher positions of the pack that I would not think of going for, a position in his Parliament- a judge and a jury. A voice for the pack. I look away for a moment towards the entrance of the den. The rain is coming down hard. Real hard. The sound fills the den despite the larger size. It is violent out there as a flash of light illuminates the world followed by an intense clash of thunder. I am silent for a moment as I stare out. It was as if the storm outside reflected the turmoil that always seemed to linger deep inside of me.

"I like that you don't play around. Yes, I will accept- under one condition," I say, my brindled and slightly scarred visage turning to look at him once more. My eyes were burning despite their blues. They burn with an intensity seen by few, with flames so hot they are the very color of my eyes.

"There are those I have swore to bring justice upon. I will bring justice to those scum who deserve it- killers, rapists, those who attack the weak. I am bound by this with my very being," I say with my voice almost shaking. I look away then. Taking a deep breath as thunder roar and the wind screams. There is no sign of the storm letting up.

"A member of the pack, Fjallraven, has died. I can't kill her invisible killer- disease, but I do demand that we give her a proper burial," I state strongly, not looking to him in these moments. Fjall was a....dumb girl. Very dumb. Weak. Sure, she probably did not deserve life as much as others but...I am not pleased with her death. I am conflicted. Perhaps it was my tricking her as Ahorvi where I grew to...appreciate her, but she is dead now, and I saw her body with my own eyes. I am not sure how to handle it...what to...do. I know when Magnus sees or finds out, he will be enraged...but I will have to deal with his separately. For now, I can only deal with Tithe, and try to figure out what is supposed to be done. It is not like I got to give my own mother a proper burial...whatever proper is. I assume we cannot just...let her rot out in the open.

to meet at midnight in the hanging tree.
