Of course I couldn’t imagine we both lost our parents… after all what type of luck would that be? It sounded impossible, unholy, and completely cruel of fate to do something like that. So of course he hadn’t think that there would be something that horrible for the two of them to experience at the same time. Ravenna never really made him go back or pushed him for answers about Natu, but really she was his mother. It wasn’t as bad as she thought, he was sick when he jumped, but admittedly he didn’t want to go back to the mountains and be with Natu again too. Ravenna had been an escape a rough escape for sure but Grayson had thought it was better for Natu to think he was gone and dead. He hadn’t been wholly wrong she lived out the last couple years of her life happily with her mate and many real children.

Still now that they came back to Spirane and she was gone, well he couldn’t stop himself from choosing the den he had. Still though there were more pressing matters than dens and how they ended up here after that… well unfortunate event where he had his leg removed. That was all the past and right now he couldn’t really understand the reactions his not-mate-mate was giving him. She had some pretty outrageous reactions though to the news of Natu passing snapping in his face. His orange eyes ran over her completely bewildered for several seconds until she explained further and said that it was her mom and her dad that died.

”No. No that’s not…” He tried to get out as she explained that someone killed her father and then her mother died right after him. He grit his teeth again. How did he tell her? Should he even bother? No. No he decided he shouldn’t. Natu was his pain to bare for now, his alone and Ravenna she had enough. He couldn’t believe this was happening to them but he moved in close to her trying to hold back his own pain from her, but part of him knew that he had already said enough that if she wasn’t lost in being so upset she would know something was wrong with her too. Curse him for assuming the worst couldn’t happen to them, the worst ALWAYS seemed to happen between them.

”Word gets around, and I am sorry I just assumed that we were…” Did he really want to put the word mates out in the open like that just to cover up that Natu was gone? So that maybe she wouldn’t have to know that her aunt was gone too? He wouldn’t say it but the three-legged male moved forward to embrace the russet and white girl. ”I’m so sorry, Ravenna.” I’m so sorry, Natu. Mom. He hoped she would let it go, that she would accept his comfort and deal with his own pain of loss. She has enough to deal with right now.
