Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

your love endures my back to it

When he twisted back to face her, she had become suddenly more aware of his unusual appearance - at least, unusual for the wolves of Moladion that she had come to know. In the north, she had witnessed wolves with blackened, crusted ears and numb, oozing paws but not here, not in Moladion. Here, they hollowed out dens and lay beneath ground come the snow storms and frost. Here, they seemed to be blessed with good health. Seeing him turn towards her with those ears and his scarred face had taken her momentarily back to the frosty north. Only when the sound of his tail broke her trance did she become aware of the forest around them, green and abundant. It made her ear flicker in agitation, annoyed that she had been negligent for even a moment and yet, thankfully, his demeanor had been receptive. Had she turned soft?

In any case, she remained poised with a loose, amiable posture as she awaited for him to make the first move. Her mistrust would never entirely dissipate it seemed and she was content to give him all the time he needed to make a decision; when he did step down, her eyes befell his paw instantly. It reeked of flesh blood and her head tilted slightly as she witnessed him simply ignore its presence. As he walked, his blood marked the land and yet, he seemed ignorant to it. It distracted her from his approach initially, though she had been quick to return her gaze to his own when he came to a halt. At such a comfortable distance, she was happy to offer him another friendly wave of her tail.

As he investigated her, she remained still. Only when he had returned the kind gesture did she lower her head closer to the earth, allowing the breeze to bring his scent to her; blood, of course, and yet surrounded by foreign smells that she had not experienced for some time - vastness, she'd describe it as. It was as if his scent had collected a myriad of environments along its natural muskiness and it marked him, to her at least, as something more than a loner of Moladion. A newcomer perhaps? As she had been once before.

With a huff, she exhaled and motioned at his paw with her muzzle; her head tilted once more as she moved her gaze up to his face, clearly confused by his neglect of the wound. It would attract predators, be they natural or not, and she wondered why he had chosen to risk it rather than simply tend to it for several more moments. If he had been patient on the rock, it ought to have scabbed enough to cover the fresh scent at least. She worried for him for that fact alone - Asteraia was nearby, after all, and she did not trust that they would not be lured out by a scentless loner with bloodied paws.

With a slow step forward, she huffed again, a low whine building in the back of her throat as she lifted her head to meet his gaze. She shifted on the spot, her tail slowly waving but her eyes wide with concern for the man who seemed... unconcerned with himself at any rate.
