It seemed helping nature seemed to encompass this entire land. Almost instantly after she'd failed the jump, someone quickly and swiftly grabbed her neck. Not a very strong force, mind you, considering how slow the drag started. But Amber was not to just sit there. Her added paddling got her to the surface in seconds, where she then clung to the edge of the ice, her back paws still paddling gently to keep her there. A chestnut colored figure began backing away, breaking the ice towards the shore as they went at it. Much smaller, Amber struggled to grasp why they were even trying to help when she could have broken that ice herself. Slower, mind you, but all the same, a better path.
By pressing a paw lightly on each side, she made the path wider towards shore, working slowly. Once she had reached the area thick enough for what she wanted to try, Amber spread her paw wide apart on one side. Her push quickly brought up her hind legs, which she also kept spread out while sliding her fronts as far forward as she dared. With urgency, she moved away from the break, hearing the wire-thin cracks forming behind her.
Almost floating, even though soaking, Amber's paws seemed to float as she trotted towards the back of which a brown wolf stood. Her paws were spread far away from one another, but not far enough to slide or loose her balance. Trotting through a light blue water puddle upon the ice, she reached the bank. Stopping, she began to shake her fur violently. No matter what she had rubbed away, the arctic in her had made sure the water-proof layer was always on top. Once that was completely, her forest green eyes turned upon the dark honey ones.
"Why'd you help me?"
