do you believe in magic?
Taika turned her gold cracked gaze to Liquid Amber as the woman spoke, her head tilted slightly to the side. It was true. Their number was as transient as always, but not unexpectedly so. Many had found places that suited their souls for some time or another. While others, such as Dragonfly, bounced to most of their gatherings here and there with a finesse and showmanship that delighted the gypsy woman every time she saw the woman perform. She noted a few members she knew. Roman, sure to be relishing in his freedom, finally unchained from the shackles of pack life. The roaming man embraced his true calling after proving to himself he could do what many thought impossible of him. Taika’s lips twitched in concern. Her soul sister had not raised her voice, nor stepped forward. The Dream Speaker had been called away, but was always on the mind of her adopted sibling. The group of gypsies had always been flowing and changing. Either with the days or the seasons, each new moon smiled on a different outlook of the group.
Luckily for Taika, the transition to what she needed to say was not going to be as awkward as she was expecting. Not that the woman minded speaking up when something needed to be said.
I have news. Her voice rang out, confidence of knowledge behind her words. A pack wolf approached me. Hyrule of Diveen told me of a wolf named Zeus and his sidekick, Aides of Glorall, have been attacking wolves both in and out of packs. The Lady of Asteria, the one many call Monster, has also stated these names. Taika studied the faces of the wanderers around her. It was no secret who the Monster commanded. It was also no secret that Tobias’ terror had calmed only to be replaced by others. Hyrule has asked that we keep an ear out for any who are senseless killers. Particularly Zeus or Aides. The seriousness that rarely ruled her face overtook her. Suddenly a fear she had never truly felt before gripped her heart. Soft eyes shined when the looked over at Los. Keep those you trust close.
Shaking her head from the thought, she grinned again at the gathered group, her tail wagging behind her. Spring is almost here! Her look turned rueful, remembering the performance Dragonfly had put on the previous spring. Taika’s excitement brought her to her paws and she ran (awkwardly) around in a circle, forgetting that she was carrying extra weight. The fairies are about to dance on the leaves of the trees! Her smile and facial features warmed happily. Her fairies were about to walk the earth and bring their own notes to the tune of the world.
