During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Everything behind her was a blur, the past two days and nights filled with running and staggering when she ran out of breath. She needed to get away. Her parents sold her as a servant to a man of filth. She would be no mans slave, no mans property. She was her own. So when the time was right, she ran for her life. Nothing would stop her, for she was unbreakable. She was as wild as the wild horses of Chincoteague. Free. Yet she knew he was following. Every time she slowed it seemed the earth shook behind her. She slipped quietly away, her mind fading away as she raced the daylight. Tonight she would rest in this place.

It was peaceful, quiet. She liked the way wolves seemed to have no owner but eachother. Amber orbs looked for a place, her nares leading the way. She was to find her own way and chose her own path. With the peace in this place, it seemed she could stay here if she chose to. As long as he didn't find her, as long as she was safe. Maybe, just maybe she could start anew. Yet she found herself running still, there seemed to be no place worth staying for here yet. Her nares pulling her to a halt before the very place that reeked of activity.

The fox like woman finally stopped for the first time in days. Her head tilted to look back at the way she came, nothing followed her. His scent was gone. Yet his abuse still remained in her head. She needed this, she reminded herself. Her amber orbs looked to the tall trees that was a packs territory. Her cranium tilted back, and she let a howl ring from her vocals. She needed someone, anyone to allow her in. She needed welcoming as tradition to her kin and most others. Packs were not to be fooled with, here she stood the chance of either being welcomed or being banished. Her breath held in her lungs for a moment and then she tried to catch it once more. Her tired body sat down on it's rump, looking to the nearly dark forest in front of her as the stars just started to peak out in the sky.
