Tychon started to snarl at Thoth. The other wolf’s ability to make the intimidating sounds only helped to make the pup even more enraged. How dare this other wolf not only try to keep him from a prize he wanted, but now he was able to do something Thoth was not! The pup did not even try to make a noise. The piece of flesh ripped under his renewed attacks. The piece was so small, and the pup so infuriated that Thoth spat out the skin and continued his constant viciousness towards the adult. He was completely unaware and uncaring of the danger he was putting himself in. There was nothing this wolf could do to him when there was something Thoth wanted. At least until Tychon’s fangs came charging at him.
Thoth’s attention was taken off the offending paws and desired carcass. The silent pup twisted to meet Tychon’s attack. This time, when Thoth’s mouth opened a hideous snarl shattered the air. A snow white muzzle and face placed itself where Thoth had been. Samhain’s face took Tychon’s blow. Fangs would have closed on hard adult bone instead of soft puppy flesh if the attack had not been altered in time. The big silvery cream wolf placed himself solidly over his son. Burnt orange eyes blazed in an anger that made Thoth’s seem like a flickering candle. Samhain bared his teeth at the offending Tychon. Where his son was nearly defenseless, the father was anything but. His pale hackles rose, making him even bigger than his already giant bulk. “Leave.” He growled, shifting to stand more protectively over Thoth.
