Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

But it’s always there;;

Hostility was not a reaction that was common for the female. Well at least not to those that were of the same breed of her, the only beings worthy of being called a wolf in her mind. But her father had not raised her to react with anger and hostility as she had just done to Horizon. But that was before she knew it was him. And with everything that had gone on, maybe that was why the femme had reacted in such a negative way. She was not expecting the male to follow her and to seek her out as he had done. Akuji had never been the type to do that, and she was not used to the kindness that this new male was showing her. Not that her father was cruel. At least not until she had seen him behave towards Horizon at Munashii Gekko. That had been a side of her father she had never seen before. Words meant to hurt came from his maw as he attacked not only his daughter but also his brother. Normally if Shasta and her father got into a fight it was nothing as serious as what had gone on. The younger femme would storm off, and her father would let her go. She would throw a bit of tantrum and then come to her senses and everything would be good and normal again. But not this time. Shasta was an adult now and this was no foolish fight they had because she was a teen filled with unnecessary angst. This was because Akuji had been downright cruel, and until he apologized and somehow made it up to her, she would not willingly be around him.

But luckily it seemed that Horizon was an understanding varg, and her hostility quickly vanished once she realized that it was him. Right now even if Akuji had attempted to apologize, something he did not do anyways, she would not have wanted to hear from him right now. The hurt was still too fresh and she still needed time to cool down. But it was easier to do with Horizon here. He made her feel more calm than she would have ever been able to feel if she was on her own. Even though she had not known him long, she trusted him for some reason. Normally one would think it was because he was her uncle. But she knew that family meant nothing in means of trust. Her own grandfather would gladly kill her father and perhaps her, if not keep her a slave to breed. So Horizon being her uncle did not mean she could trust him, but for some unknown reason she did. The female accepted the small meal from the brute with thanks before something unexpected happened. The male kalak grew closer to her, and her form was still on the ground not realizing that she never stood to greet Horizon or to eat her meal. The male’s warm form was leaning against hers, and she instinctually tensed. She was not used to a tender touch. Not that her father abused her, but he was not the type to coddle anyone, even his young. It had made Shasta strong though.

After a moment or two, Shasta’s muscles relaxed, somehow knowing that she was safe with tis male, even though she had no reason to think so. Her mind protested, telling her that she should not be letting herself relax and become vulnerable around a stranger, but her instincts were stronger and told her that it was okay. And she listened to her instincts which were stronger than what her mind told her to do. And just as she was beginning to lean into his touch, he was gone, jerking away from her as if there was something wrong with her. Chocolate brown orbs looked over to him in confusion, wondering what had made him change his mind about wanting to be closer to her. His own mismatched gaze was looking to the floor at first before he finally looked up into her eyes. The two stared into each other, as if looking into each other’s souls for a few moments before she finally stuttered out some words. Maybe her movement to get closer to him had been unwelcomed, and she had made a mistake about him. She thought that he had wanted to be close to her, and that what she had done to lean into him was okay. But based on his reaction it was not.

But instead of him showing any negativity towards her, a smile came upon his kissers. And she thought that that may be one of the best sights in the world. From the moment she had been around Horizon he had seemed worried and anxious, as if there was something inside him that was bothering him incessantly. But when he smiled his features grew much softer, much more vulnerable. And it continued to make her feel as if she was right about trusting him. Horizon’s smile made her feel better, and she continued to speak, offering any help that she could to the male. The brute’s smile widened and Shasta’s own maw opened up into a bright smile, as if it was contagious from the brujo before her. "The kindness of your words is greatly appreciated and should you ever need a shoulder to lean on I will always be here." When he spoke her audettes perked at his vocals. ”Thank you, Horizon. I have never had someone to call a friend before.” It may sound like a great sadness to some, one not having friends. But before she thought all she needed was her father, before that was all she needed. But now it was clear that he was not going to be in her life for some time. And it could become very lonely if she was to remain entirely on her own for the unforeseeable future.

The male spoke once more, his vocals softer this time. "I know your first visit to Munashii Gekko can’t exactly be called welcoming, but I do wish to extend to you the option to come visit or stay whenever, whether it’s just to talk, to escape from something or even someone." A smile once more broke out on her kissers. She was afraid that Horizon was going to leave her here and that she would be on her own, despite feeling that she could call him a friend it did not mean that he had to be with her constantly. But this invitation made her feel better. Maybe she would not have to be alone and she could stay with him. ”That means a lot to me Horizon. I feel like visits with you in the future could be much more enjoyable. What was your plan for this afternoon?” Shasta did not want to ask him to stay with him if he had plans. She did not want to be a burden to her new friend.

Talking
hearing you words
my thoughts
I walk on
