Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

The brief triad caused Dragonfly’s spirits to lift further when she knew that Elara would be joining them. She had only briefly encountered the white female when they spoke with Viserys, but Dragonfly had immediately liked her. In response to Elara’s tentative smile and tail wave when she approached, the young female returned the kind expression with more ease, entirely pleased that she had chosen to partake in their discussion. Her tail waved and she nodded assuredly to Elara; certainly a tale would be told once this meeting! Then, Dragonfly defaulted to Liquid Amber at the suggestion of finding a pack-INN to stay the coming winter.

The thought glided nerves all around Dragonfly. There were a high concentration of males in a pack; would that be difficult to handle? She was being ridiculous, she knew; male wolves didn’t go, like… mindless during winter. But she couldn’t stop her thoughts from wondering since she truly had no idea who to select as a mate and since she didn’t know, would it mean she were simply up for grabs by anyone? She was distracted from her nerves by Liquid Amber’s tranquil voice; her rounded ears popped up attentively.

Her tail waved her at Liquid Amber’s playful bargain. With gleaming eyes Dragonfly agreed, “Well… I’ve got a problem I need to solve. You know, with winter coming-”

Dragonfly’s eyes glanced to the tree line when she caught subtle, smooth motion there. She dismissed it for half a second before she looked back and saw the shades extend out into the field and produce from their essence a young male wolf. Her fuchsia eyes paused on him a moment, struck by his illusiveness. His red orange eyes were like flames among the charcoal of his fur; intense and handsome. Was he hear to answer Liquid Amber’s call? Perhaps the two of them were acquainted. But… his focus was certainly not on LA. When their eyes met briefly, she glanced shyly away. She sat down and tucked her chin to her chest. Her fur fluffed up some around her head, as if she were trying to hide in her peachy fur. She’d never been openly gawked at, especially so silently.

Dragonfly stumbled over her next word, “-Um..”

In fact, she was utterly lost now and her eyes kept glancing towards the shadowy young male that seemed intent on her. Maybe he was just waiting for her story? Was it alright to ask what she wanted in front of a male? In that time, another stranger arrived. He was a multitude of colors and sat a bit away from the group. Well… she really couldn’t say anything now! What else had she to talk about? Oh, wait! She could spin her topic in a more lighthearted way. But this awkwardness was getting her jittery. She needed to defuse it before she embarrassed herself further.

“I apologize, I was surprised by our guests! Let me start over,” Dragonfly sighed in relief that her voice box was working again and she continued with less stress on her features, “I’ve got a problem that I need to solve and I was hoping that maybe any of you had advice? I’ve been meeting young males around Moladion, but… I don’t really know how to ask any of them out on a date… I’ve been on a date blind date before. But like… you know, that’s different? It’s not like going out of your way to tell someone you’re interested…”

Instead of straight up asking about mates, dating seemed a better option. Plus, she hoped that perhaps the two males with them could give advice to that. It was like asking among friends who be best to ask out and she could probably count on honest advice from strangers, at the very least; they didn’t have to worry about their relationship with her. Besides, without siblings or a close, close friend, this group was the best she had to get help from. After it, she had better stories. Like encounter with that weird gold brindled male who tried to attack her! She thought she had been pretty smooth, but that flirting attempt had been an epic fail… certainly they would get a good laugh out of that one if their conversation went in that direction.
