Her paws were starting to get a little bit cold on the ice. While she waited for the stranger to come and join her, Solstice shifted from paw to paw, making sure the pads were not sticking to the freezing surface. Her grin was just as cheerful as it had ever been though once Moonfeather had approached her. At first her tail started to sway through the air, excited to play with a stranger, someone who had not been a part of the forests in which she had grown up. She was surprised when the large bird landed between them and was taken aback when it cawed at her.
Blinking at the raven she hesitated. Beside her the rabbit ran wildly around, anxious at the raven’s approach and scrutiny. Solstice was taken completely surprise by this turn of events. She had never come across another wolf who had formed a bond with something that was not canine. Her grin grew and tail only increased in the speed of its movement. Her playful bow was aimed at both Kutcha and Moonfeather. Greetings! I am Solstice! This is Veli. One of her cream toed paws nudged the rabbit at her side. He is…. Not picky… In fact, the rabbit continued to glare up at both Moonfeather and Kutcha. The rodent universally loathed everyone Solstice came across. Since their young age he had grown tired of being snapped at and unfairly chased by various wolves that came across him. The little nose twitched at Moonfeather while beady critical eyes watched the feathered friend hop away. One of Solstice’s ears twitched at him and a snowy brow raised for a moment.
Solstice shook her head, releasing and ignoring any objection Veli would have about this encounter. Instead she jumped back into her play bow and grinned up at Moonfeather. Have you ever slid across the ice on purpose? To see how far you could go?
