“Not many are inclined to be in her company.”
It is true. It was unfortunate that her daughter did not contain some traits of a distinguished extrovert. Tick Tock could not blame her daughter for not having the qualities of other leaders as she was not raised in the typical standard and fashion that other young pups were receiving from their own Alpha parents. As any parent she held deep guilt that she could do not so much for her children, and although she loved her imprint dearly, she was always concerned for her little girl. There was only so much she could do for Nevermore, and she knew that her daughter would be okay, after all she was the child of herself and the True Demon of Moladion. The Monster noticed how clever her daughter was, how eager the girl was to learn, and she hoped that when the time comes...her daughter would be okay without her. The Monster knew far too well that one day she would never wake up again, but for now, she would do everything she could to prepare her daughter for the day she became the new Alpha in the fields. However, before she can continue to do what she will, she needed to make sure that there would be no problem for her little girl, from anyone.
Quietly she listens to the golden-headed child of the mountains. She had observed him as much as she could when he was near her little girl, and she wanted to make sure that her little friend, would not cause any trouble. It was good, that he had come back a very good background that his Father was a longtime Advisor, but he was not spending his years being taught by his Father, he was here within the fields. Like all children she interacted with them, not as close as she does with her own children, but close enough to get to know them in her own way. After all, she was not very touchy feely. It was his mention that he did not wish to follow his Father that caused her to tilt her dial to the side. Briskly she responds, sharply, eager to know the truth.
“Did you not want to follow your Father’s paw-steps, because you saw another opportunity to not just be an advisor, but to be an Alpha if you were connected with the right female wolf?”
She stared at him for a moment, dark sapphire eyes looking over the boy carefully, looking for a tell, a sign, that he cannot be trusted. In a way, the Alpha wanted to know if he was good enough to be at her daughter’s side. If he was worthy of that honor. Truly a Father should be the one focused on what male dared to come to his little girl, but Tick Tock would take on that responsibility. A Mother wanted to know if this male before you, would be there for her little girl, not as a mate, but as a friend, and someone that would help her lead this pack, when one day, she could no longer give her own, her advice. Quickly to gives the boy more questions, questions that needed to be answered...
“How can I know, that when I give her the pack, will you not try and steal it away from her? How can I trust you, Rhett? What can you tell me to reassure me that not only should your presence continue within the fields, but you have any right to be something closer to her?
