PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

DANCE OF THORNS

Jasiri's ear flicked as the dark mare spoke. She was a bit disappointed that she was so old, but the silver knew there were other, younger drafts spread across these Islands. She would find them all eventually. And if she didn't, she knew the locals would pick up on her intentions sooner or later. Word might reach other drafts without her having to find them. Her herd might grow just by rumors flowing throughout the islands.

"Habari, Inka," she greeted. The mare seemed agitated by her mention of a proposition, and the draft hesitated. She liked the feeling. She liked feeling a little dangerous, of being important enough that a fellow draft was unnerved by her. Sure, her old herd was afraid of her, but they weren't important. Inka was.

Jasiri tossed her blonde locks and arched her neck a little more. "I believe drafts should stick together. There are so few of us on these islands," the silver mare paused. She didn't actually know if there was already a draft herd living on a different island. It didn't matter. Hers would be better. "I intend to make my home, the Inlet, a safe haven for drafts. I invite you to join us. Together we will stand strong," she raised her head slightly higher, "as a family."

She paused again. She didn't want to offend this mare or overstep her boundaries, but she itched to say something more. She shifted her weight and eyed Inka uneasily. "I don't mean to be rude, but... you're old," she stated lamely, and her voice changed to a gentler and less awkward tone. "You will be well looked after there." She didn't allow her gaze to drop from Inka. She didn't allow her nervousness to show, and instead flicked her tail as she waited silently.
