Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

More snow. She supposed she ought to have expected it and yet, the winter had been surprisingly mild up until the brewing of the storm. Perhaps she held a bias though, what with a cloak of Tithe to keep her warm and all, but she had not expected such a storm to take place so late in the season. In any case, it had at least been interesting to observe - it had begun far in the distance, over the sea perhaps, before it drifted over Asteraia and Glorall. Tithe seemed excited too, though she supposed they had their separate reasoning for such excitement: he seemed to enjoy the prospect of snow, she? Pandora much preferred the prospect of observation and experimentation. Already, she had taken it upon herself to observe the birds as they seemed to swarm and depart; rabbits became more hesitant; even the few scattered deer had left prematurely into the forests. The colder the air became, the more devoid of scent it seemed to become too.

Tithe, though? He had been right about having to hide for a time being, at least. Yet, she had not expected him to seem so happy when the storm had settled into place - it had caught her off guard entirely when he had bounded from their hollow so excitedly. For quite some time , she had been inclined to simply wait, taut lipped and brows raised. Was he coming back? Apparently not.

Of course, she was not entirely opposed to being out there. Thankfully, she had been born with fur thick and long, her paws snowshoeing comfortably into the snow as she too scrambled out to follow. He had left some time ago, his tracks seemingly covered by the wind and yet, she heard a familiar crunching. As patiently as possible, she waited until he plouged through the snow and to her, his words bringing about a curious flicker from her ear.

"You built a cave?" She inquired, stepping forward to brush aside him with a stout push of her muzzle into his shoulder - lead the way, it said - "How does a wolf build a cave exactly?" After all, she had been pack-born and even in her loner years, she had always kept to natural things. Never had she clawed and chewed her way through ice.

In any case, she trekked beyond him several paces before she turned back, her eyes squinting in the cool air as her breath turned to smoke. "I've spent all day and night warming up our current one with my body so I expect to be impressed at this rate." Her lip twitches up into a grin, jesting and yet, she never said anything without an ounce of seriousness.
