Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

to touch me is a curse

Mirage eagerly chased after the wolf who was slowly starting to teach her how the rest of the happy world seemed to act with others. A part of her was still revelling in excitement of something new happening in her life. The trail she started to follow was one of mystery and her own choosing. Having the power was growing intoxicating. So consumed was her mind that she too did not notice the shift in the wind, or the change of skies above them. There were other things that were just too important.

Red-tipped tail wagging she watched as the lost prince started to explain the details of the game. She tried not to get too lost in the ideas that she was actually playing a game, and paid attention. Bloody eyes stared and took in every movement and every detail Halcyon described so she could learn to be the best she could be. Breathing our and giving a nod she stepped back as the boy ran across the ice. In her moment of truth she followed suit, catching her breath in delight at feeling her paws slip as they were supposed to on the smooth surface of the ice. Soft giggles of laughter peeled from her maw as she slipped and slid in circles. She did not care that her smaller form did not make it anywhere near the older wolf’s bigger bulk. She was just enjoying the time.

Overhead the clouds continued to build, invisible to the pup’s gaze. As the heavens stared down it declared the happy soul far too lost in her joy to continue her play. Opening the gates, the heavens uncaged the fury it had been building. The solitary snowflakes were joined by its brethren in a hailstorm that thickened blindingly as it fell down to earth. Their laughter and play was swiftly drowned out with the howl of the winds. The gail stole their voices and silenced them with their own. Sun was blocked from the skies above and sight stolen from their eyes. A winter day of play was taken in the blink of an eye and when the lids opened again they saw only darkness and cold.
