Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Inara knew larger wolves than she would be around from time to time and yet none had made effort to approach her. She wrapped her paw around her meal continuing to gnaw at it hungrily as the male approached her. She could only glower and offer growls that echoed as she made into her meager pound of flesh. She wasn’t keen on sharing what she worked so hard to obtain and despite her smaller size she wouldn’t give it up that easily.

It seemed for the moment she wouldn’t have to as words slipped from his maw she listened her gaze still harsh against him as she thought on what he had said. “I have no one.” Inara was certainly resourceful, learning what she could from observations she had even come to teach herself things because if she didn’t who would? Perhaps only those who would help themselves would succeed and this is why she would, because she would do everything it took to stay alive.

It was a lonely life, she wasn’t certain of why she was here and why they had left but she wished to make the most of it, for now this stranger seemed company and she would have to deal with him first. “What do you want from me anyways?” Now, it wasn’t so much the girl hated the company but it was new and strange something she would have to get use to. She understood odd glances and stares but this was a first someone had spoken to her and tried to engage with her and she wanted to understand why.
