Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

LIKE A WALK IN THE PARK, LIKE A HOLE IN YOUR HEAD
Ehiyeh wandered across the dunes and headed for the shoreline, walking at quite a leisurely pace. She was... unimpressed with the task that she had to complete. Her den was full of unique catches- why should she have to prove her worth hunting with someone else? The girl snorted, her ears giving an annoyed flick as she crested the dune, the sand beneath her paws giving her a sense of familiarity and comfort. She couldn't imagine herself anywhere other than Glorall- it wasn't as if the world outside of the island pack was scary, but it could never be home. Ehiyeh lived and breathed the sand and sea, her coat smelling strongly of a salty breeze, her fur usually tousled by the wind. Perhaps it was because she was born here, and because her father ruled, or perhaps it was something more innate. Either way, she belonged here, and she couldn't sit around doing nothing forever.

But it still didn't mean that she had to agree with her father's way of testing her. Violet eyes fell upon the sight of Alcmene, the 'best' hunter in the pack, though one day Ehiyeh thought she may ferret away that title. She would be content to simply live in solitude but she knew that her father expected more than that from her. She descended the dune, sand cascading down the side in little rivulets. "Greetings." She remarked coolly, her eyes resting on her supposed teacher before examining her surroundings.

There was nothing around here to hunt- that she could see, anyway. Some fish, but those weren't exactly unique, were they? Ehiyeh raised an eyebrow, and her eyes, almost critical, returned to Alcmene. She did not speak, but she didn't need to. Her gaze spoke more words than she ever could about what she thought of this whole situation. Perhaps the girl was a bit of a brat, but it wasn't purposeful. She took pride in her hunting, and she truly thought that she was the best- that she didn't need to be taught anything at all. Time, though, time would tell if she truly was as good as she thought.
