Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

She felt so cold. White body would not cease its shivering. Everything about her was cold and dark. All that remained in her mind was the burning of her brother’s eyes. It seemed as though the storm’s strength had bested her, sent a demon to claim her life. She had reached for the heavens, asked for their blessing, and had been visited by the world’s curse. Except at last she felt a warmth beside her. Bleary eyed, she tried to focus on her new rescuer. For a brief fluttering second she was convinced it was Zeus, once again bringing her the strength to survive.

But this wolf stood out against the snow, and his body was stronger, younger, smaller. He was different, but he was still safe. Mindless and acting only on what her body needed to survive, Inanna shifted to press herself into his warmth. A yelp snapped out of her jaws as weight was put on her injured leg which was slowly starting to swell, despite the cold.

I was following Veli. He vanished in the snow, then I fell. Her head snapped up, eyes went wide though they were clouded on their surface. Veli! He got Veli! In a panic she tried to scramble to her paws, her left leg awkward and unable to bear her weight. Whining, she tried to shuffle through the cramped space to anything that might seem like an exit. She needed to find her small brother, even if it meant taking on her real brother. More blood spilled over the icy snow as she moved. Her neck and shoulder only slowly starting to clog and cuts on her leg refusing to stay closed with her movement. Determination to find her small friend overwhelmed her dulled senses, she did not even follow the right path of blood. Unknowingly she was scrambling deeper into the crevice.
