Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Vesper
It is triumph and despair,    wish and realization

The language of his body shifts fluidly from predator to potentate - as my father had once called himself when he reigned over these lands - as I acknowledge him. Every movement, every action and reaction are chances for me to learn more about him. Knowledge was something I had hungered for since a young age, fascinated by all that the world had to offer. Yet, within myself it was something different from the curiosity of others, more of an openness to information than anything else. But it is evident in the eyes of the leader that stands before me that he wishes to know more about me, his interest something to be expected. These were his lands now, they had been for years, and here I stood boldly upon the cusp of his kingdom. Who was I to stand so serenely upon the shores of Glorall? Never had I been one for toying about with mind games, honesty and forthrightness more my style, and so gave him my name before it was asked for.

Presently, Eden seemed only further intrigued by my words, and his scrutinizing gaze began to infiltrate my relaxed and secure demeanor. Still, the comforting feel of home beneath my paws kept me grounded, and I would do my best to keep my composure in these moments. His response was simple, suggesting that perhaps he had heard my name many moons ago or in some passing conversation. Maybe from the lips of my sister, Cersei, or some other wolf who had remained from Tesseract's ranks. Although I had never held a position within my father's pack, the children of alphas were often known well enough throughout Moladion - blood ties had strong holds upon the land. "Perhaps," I answered, ears pricked forward attentively, "I was born here, nearly a decade ago now, to the den of Tesseract." Violet eyes rested upon him, wondering what meaning he might take from such a thing. My body language made it clear that I intended him no threat, but that did not mean he would not feel my arrival was acceptable.

At this moment I stepped down from my rocky perch, bringing myself to level ground with Eden. Custom and instinct alike bade that only a superior wolf hold higher ground in situations such as these. The soft soil caressed my paws in a way most familiar and comforting, but I held no desire to roll on my back before a wolf such as he. To this point he had given me no reason to trust him so outright, and in the back of my mind images of Tesseract's battered form reminded me what he was capable of. But at least now his taller frame gave him some height on me. "I have come home." I looked to him expectantly, and gave way of myself once more as I dipped my head slightly, adding, "If you will have me." For in truth, my future was in his paws.
