Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

So, magic was real, huh? He didn't know that. Sure, everybody went on about it but he never actually believed it. Hell, even his sister seemed to believe in some kind of magic! Well, at least he made sense. For whatever reason, he hadn't been given a bird. He had just himself and his mother's attitude to keep him company. But magic?! The moment he touched herr, he knew it was real. At least, real for him. Maybe he was the first to discover it! That got him really working to free her from her snowy tomb - even his tail managed to wave in excitement despite the direness of it all. Yes, she was trapped and yes, it was really hard to get her out but magic! She made the storm feel weak and the snow feel warm. She was whiter than the snow, softer than a million feathers, more radiant than the very sun. The first in his family to find a real goddess, who would've thought?

He'd gotten ahead of himself though. Too many thoughts and not enough pulling. He had to get her out - had to know if she was even real or just some imagined snow flurry turned goddess. Turns out? Real. She practically seemed to burst out of the snowbank as he gave on final, solid pull and yelped in surprise as she came along with him.

And then her muzzle pressed against his. That really made him feel warmth - if he could have blushed, he would have been rosy red. And to think! This could have been his first kiss if it hadn't been for that old man Jackdaw! He silently cursed the male and yet, he pressed back into her muzzle just as lightly before retracting, feigning embrassment. "Oh...oh no, you know, it was totally nothing. You know, just doing my duty as a prince and a knight." Well, the words had been said. Nothing he could do about it other than puff his chest out a little and hope she believed him - he did look quite ravishing, no?

He tilted his head and leaned in as she inspected herself, her wince noticed as soon as it dared to cross her features, instinctively curling about her slightly to protect her from the gusts. "Ah! You can lean on me if you'd like. There's shelter nearby." He offered a shoulder, motioning towards it before straightening his posture in an effort to really bring out his height and flimsy adolescent strength. What was his plan? Simple! Get her warm and safe, dig up every single last herb and impress the goddamn hell out of her!
