Sekhmet liked the attention from the woman and perhaps it was for the fact she held something and she enjoyed that but still as the woman spoke she was drawn to listen and still she gave the woman a confused look. She didn’t eat her possession and wouldn’t allow anyone to harm them but Sekhmet knew those she claimed were witty and strong enough to take care of themselves even if it was just a handful of wolves. It scratched at the back of her mind what the midnight one spoke of prey and wondered if she was the same in this regard. The woman also spoke of being a teacher and a hunter and it seemed a tasking job and yet she was intrigued by them if only for a brief moment. She brought herself to be interested and wanted to see these things in time; and yet she couldn’t help compare to the few things she collected in her memory. It was not often she recalled any teachings or those she held important besides being chased from the icy depths and gaining meals. She knew of her mothers and Thoth’s hunting but never really understood a need for protection more or less she simply knew of possession and the desire she had to keep her things close. As she closely observed the woman features and took a step forward she wondered if she got her scars by keeping her things safe.
It was a slight surprise that the woman stepped forwards and closed the gap and leaned down to her but this was one she would take advantage of if demanded by her nature alone. A cold nose pressed against the woman scared face taking in the intricacy of it before moving her nose slightly into the dark one's fur. It was soft much like her own and it was an odd feeling to stay in someone's new company for a long time. Still a little more rational piece that still clung to the deepest recesses of her mind wondered what the lady was thinking and yet the more dominant part dismissed it and enjoyed the moment. She would keep a keen watch and say alert but she allowed herself the ability to settle in for the short period of time as the woman words came to her ears in hushed tones.
Perhaps it was simply that Sekhmet wasn’t quite sure why she was called to the pace other than for Thoth’s company or the fact she had rarely seen another wolf in the place she contemplated for a few moments.
