During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

ooc; sorry guys this is a little rough, i’ve had a lot going on these last couple weeks but i am excited to get some activities rolling in the pack :)

ic; As they stood waiting for the members of Munashii Gekko to gather, Titan went to work picking the rest of the prickers out of his thick pelt. He may not have improved in his technique of climbing through the spiky patch of thorns but he was definitely getting better at removing them from his fur. After clearing himself of the invasive things he shook out his pelt to free himself of any additional debris. His stark black and red form contrasted sharply against the alabaster snow that gently covered all of Blossom Forest. The winter had not hit its harshest point yet but the male had yet to face a cold season that he couldn’t handle. Demonica wolves were derived from northern breeds and despite breeding out any light colors from their coats, they still maintained the thickness that helped make bearing harsh winters a little easier.

There was a longer delay than usual for anyone to show at the meeting location. It was a grim reminder of what could happen to a wolf pack even under strong leadership. It was true there had not been many group activities as of late but even besides that the numbers of pack members had been dwindling ever since the last meeting. It was troubling and the winter was sure to not help in improving the pack’s numbers but Titan felt like the remaining members could bond during this hard season and come out on the other side even more prepared to take on new members. Even though things seemed slow and numbers seemed lacking, they were in the midst of a very peaceful time in the packland. Titan was experienced enough to know that may not last forever.

After waiting a while from when they made their call for the pack, the scent of blood hit his nostrils. Specifically, wolf blood. It sent a very intense reaction through his body. He hadn’t expected it and having dealt with bloodlust during his early life, it was sometimes tough for him to be around. Even more so if he didn’t have the opportunity to prepare himself. He took a moment with his eyes shut to shake it off. When his pair of emeralds reopened he was able to focus on what it was he was smelling. It was a site that, just like the smell, he was unprepared for. The russet maned wolf named Horizon came limping into view. His fur was caked with a mixture of blood and dirt. Titan’s fur bristled instinctively upon seeing his injured ally and his eyes glanced at Ameira as Horizon greeted them. As a couple of other wolves filed into the clearing, the bicolor king nodded in reply to the wounded wolf. Summer greeted the ivory queen before going to take a spot nearby and Karla walked silently to a place on the edge of the clearing away from everyone else.

Titan wasn’t sure how to respond to Horizon. He seemed to not want to draw attention to himself but what was the point of the pack if not to aid in times of need? The Demonican male could understand better than anyone the desire to protect his ego but he refused to not at least acknowledge the obvious. He wanted to at least give Horizon the chance to speak and if he passed it up, then Titan would respect that and let it go.

“Horizon, is this something we can help you with? If someone is targeting you we need to know.”

It could have just been a scuffle with a stray wolf or dispute over a hunt or something, and sometimes wolves had to deal with personal issues by themselves. But if this was a bigger issue than that then it involved everyone there. Titan knew that Horizon had troubles in his past. Some of it was very similar to his own, actually, and he knew that it was possible that wolves might actually be after the male. That was something that could put the entire pack in danger if it grew too large. And honestly, even if Horizon was the only one in trouble, Titan was ready to do what was necessary to make it stop. He watched the maned wolf intently for a response and meanwhile greeted anyone else who came in as needed.
