Whether or not his name had been called through the lands, everything else about him had not yet been revealed. For all the world, when the Monster approached, he was an innocent man, respectfully sitting at her border. He watched the dark woman arrive. Hazel eyes studied her form and the greying fur around her features. There was power, there was age, and there was wisdom. She held his attention immediately. The stunning slate, shale, and strawberry male bowed his head respectfully to the woman who seemed to command a presence, and his smile twisted onto his lips.
Greetings. His smooth voice purred cooly from his mouth. It was cultured and calm, no reason to truly perturb himself. I have heard of Asteraia. Gathered a sense that you protect creatures that may otherwise be in danger from other packs. He hesitated a moment, his eyes narrowing briefly in a second of deeper study, as if he could read her mind from any movement or expression. I have also heard of different tastes some within your borders have. I have a concern for a child- he refused to claim it as his own -that he may not make it where he was born. I hope to bring him here, where he may have a greater chance of survival, or if he should perish his body help another. Perhaps you and I can garner an understanding between the two of us… With every word he spoke he watched the woman before him. There were so many thoughts and words between the lines and so many interpretations one could take of his proposal. Whether he was offering a free snack, or a free future body or warrior would be up to those he was offering it to. He did not truly care what happened to the brat he was proposing to give them, so long as they listened to what he may or may not have to say. As it was, he continued to sit, quiet and respectful, waiting patiently to hear her reaction, hoping she would take the boy off his paws and hear him out in the future in return. ARANCK ....far far from the sky. |
