Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

There is a glorious tingling in me at having spied the elusive fellow. It could just be the last of the swamp deer starting to wear off, making my mouth salivate for another taste - especially considering I wouldn't have to hunt it myself, but either way I was off like a rocket. Still, I knew that there wasn't much I could do to wrangle this large fella back to Iromar. I mean look at him? I was a decent size, all sleek and handsome looking, but Aranck was quite a bit larger than me and definitely a bit put out by my surprise appearance.

You know, judging by the way he takes off like a bullet.

I snarl to myself, then grin, then come to an abrupt halt for a moment to throw my head back and send out a howl. It is a cry for Aithne to bring her hustlers here to gang up on him. Hell just pitting her against him might be enough but I know she will grab someone to come with her. Until then I would do my best to steer him towards the swamps.

Once more I take off, nose to the air, occasionally turning my head as I passed foliage to catch his wretched scent. It would forever be seared into my memory after this long job. My racing legs pump slower now as I track him, ears back and fur bristling as I begin to realize what he thinks he is doing. Just because I KNOW he is trying to circle back doesn't mean I know where he is though. Or when he plans to show himself.

So I am extra careful, ears turning rapidly and lungs pumping out so much breath I'm not sure if his scent is fading or not or if I'm even getting enough oxygen. My head turns back and forth, over my shoulder then forward, constantly alert. "They're coming for you," I say suddenly, my smooth voice stern, as if to warn him away. Because truly I didn't want to fight and have him rustle my gorgeous fur.
