Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He had to admit, he felt a bit guilty, being gone so long. But curiosity and courage had drawn him out of Moladion to explore the lands beyond. They weren't all that exciting, admittedly- the boy had seen wide rivers and lakes, tall mountains and endless forests. But nothing felt quite right, nothing felt like, well, home. And he missed his family, especially his sister, and he wondered how she had fared in his absence. Despite all the new sights he was seeing and the new experiences he was having, the fact that his family remained in Moladion tugged at his heart. It had made the boy unable to enjoy his adventures fully, and a few days ago he had realized that it was beyond time to come back.

And so Zephyr, with his own sense of direction and the guidance of the stars above, had made his way back home. He began to recognize more and more of his surroundings as he got closer, and soon enough, he was standing before the borders of the seaside pack. Eden's scent was still strong, and the boy was happy to note that he was still in power. He hoped that things hadn't changed too much in his absence. He trotted over the borders, figuring that he was still welcome within Glorall- after all, he had been born here, and it was- or at least, he hoped it was- where his family still lived.

Zephyr headed towards his family's den, the one where he had spent endless days wrestling with his littermate and his younger sisters. When he arrived, he tilted his head in confusion. The scents had faded, the only one still strong was Samia's. The boy glanced around, eyes narrowed with confusion. Had they left? He couldn't imagine his family leaving Samia behind, she would have followed them, wherever she had gone. His tail gave a cautious wag and he poked his head inside the den, nostrils flaring as he tried to pick up any trace of his parents or the rest of his family. Zephyr pulled his head back out.

They obviously had not been here for some time, but where had they gone? He sat down with a huff- it seemed that the big reunion he had been anticipating was not going to happen, at least, not yet. But, it seemed as though his sister was still around, she would know where everyone had gone. And so the boy resigned himself to wait, after all, she would come back here eventually- and then he would find out what had happened while he was away.
