Mars' blood had always been quiet in her. Yet, today, it did not seem so quiet. In fact, she could almost hear his rough voice in the back of her mind; she felt like him, she thought. Suddenly, she felt tall and strong, dangerous and cunning. The strange woman's appearance only sought to aggrevate such a feeling, her fur beginning to bristle along her spine. Her words did little to soothe her and with stiff strides, Eto moved back several paces, feeling cornered despite the wide open wilderness behind her. Even she knew her predicament: she had been captured and now, she had to find her own way out. Running would only get her caught again.
See, Eto craved affection, yes, and perhaps even a home and family but she had craved freedom too. She craved to make her own decisions, her own choices and those decisions did not lead her to this place or this wolf. That had been somebody else's doing and that frustrated her. The word savior seemed to incite a change though: a sudden one at that. In an instant, Eto straightened up. Her tail flicked, her ears pushed back. "He was a savior, mama said." She spat her words and yet, the next seemed sweeter, calmer as her lips spread into a hint of a grin. "But he left." She took a single pace forward, reaching out slowly with her muzzle to sniff at Anima.
Then, the stranger came. She was young too. She moved silently and effeciently, cutting Eto off from her intended target and instead, basking her in a new scent. Instantly, Eto recoiled with a clack of her teeth, caught off guard by the dark girl's suddenness.
This time, however, she did not stop. Instead, she reeled back completely, pivoting and darting off several paces. She turned back to face Anima then with a pointed look towards the stranger. "Anima does not care! Anima brings others to startle and scare..." Like a child, completely and utterly, Eto fumed at what was only an accident on Nevermore's behalf. In any case, she turned her back entirely, lowering herself indignantly. She would not listen. She would give them nothing.
