Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He lingered on her as she seemed to linger on he; the tension between the pair seemed thicker than any summer air and for a moment, he felt his muscles spasm in uncertainty. In a way, the strange girl unnerved him and he was entirely unsure as to whether he should fight or flee. Her instinctual submission seems to be enough to confirm his response: he paused immediately as she sunk down. Without thought, he felt himself rise up slightly, his head cocked just enough to be able to properly peer down at her as she pressed into the grass and flowers below her. His head tilted suddenly to the opposite axis, taken aback just the slightest bit from her sudden change in feeling.

Then, her words. The moment they were breathed into the air, his ears fluttered forward. He had never heard a voice such as that. His mother was silent, ever so, unable to even growl at him in protest and his father's voice...well, it held nothing of the feminine tone. Even his sister's voice did not resonate with such bird-like pleasantry. His lip twitched in confusion. "No." The word is simple, his lips taut after issuing his refusal. For a moment, he simply remained in silence but then, with a sudden jerk of his entire body, he seated himself before her. His movement was sudden, unplanned almost, as he fell to a level akin to her own.

"Is this your field?" His brows furrowed as he swung about to look over the clearing once more. He moved strangely, forcing his good eye about as his dead one simply stared into the void. It was a difficult thing, at times, to compensate when there was nothing to compensate with. It is within that moment that he feels a fleeting sense of fear, the unknown to his right suddenly larger than ever. But, he thinks, such a sensation is worth hearing her voice again, as berating as her words might be.
