Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

LIKE A WALK IN THE PARK, LIKE A HOLE IN YOUR HEAD
She continued to move through the fields, enjoying the vast and seemingly unobtainable perfection of the expanse of unbroken snow. And although she was alone she was not lonely, her emotions too aloof to comprehend such a thing as loneliness. The woman had grown to, at times, enjoy the company of others, at least for curiosity's sake- but Ehiyeh had always been more comfortable on her own. It was easier to think, to hunt, to explore when you did not have anyone else to worry about. And conversation always seemed to grow flat after a while when there was nothing interesting to talk about. Yet it seemed today she would not be blessed with peaceful solitude as she heard the crunch of snow behind her.

Ehiyeh flicked an ear backwards, her posture irritated and guarded, until the sound of the pawsteps became frantic and rushed. She turned just in time for the male to fall upon her, so much larger than her and so much stronger. At first she did not comprehend what was happening and she tried to wiggle out from underneath him, but his legs and paws held her firm. And when at last she understood, she froze. Her mind was screaming out for her to yell, to struggle, to bite and thrash. But all she could manage was a sharp breath and a small whine. Like the snow around her, her body was frozen and stiff.

There was something strange, though. His touch was loving, almost, hardly aggressive and yet she could not comprehend why he had chosen to do this, why he had taken something that wasn't his. She was young still. She did not, could not understand. And she was far, far weaker than she had thought.

At last the nightmare was over. His breath, hot in her ears, subsided, and the pressure on her back and hindquarters was lifted. Ehiyeh took a trembling step forwards, her violet eyes burning- she wanted to yell at him, scream at him, hunt him down like she would a rabbit. The words caught in her throat, everything she could have wished to say was left a thought. Instead she simply turned, her tail tucked between her legs, desperate to regain some semblance of innocence and chastity. She still could not speak, but her eyes, wide and pained and searching, said more than words ever could. Her breath fogged in the cold air and her body trembled. She had been too weak to stop him but she would not let him see the tears that threatened to spill from her eyes.

The reality of the situation had not yet hit her, but it was the simple shock and pain of it all that wanted to wrack her body with sobs. Ehiyeh was ashamed, and as she stared at the male in front of her, she wondered how it must feel for him, to take something so perfect and precious and stain it red with sin.
