Today is the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbour and, as far as I can tell, only Jack and I were alive when the attack happened and WWII began for America.
My mother went to work in an aircraft plant and my dad and 2 uncles went to war. As we were in California at the time, I still remember the sounds of the navy drills in the Harbour nearby, the sound of the planes flying over and wondering if they were there to drop bombs on me. 75 years later, similar airplane sounds trigger that anxiety for a second. My memories of that time are still very clear.
