I was thinking about what I wanted to do here. I’d heard a few packs were empty and wanted to possibly establish myself as alpha as one of them, and even if that didn’t happen, I’m just happy making friends. Nzingha snorted and began to laugh rowdily. “Ah yea of course you are thinking about becoming an Alpha, of course you are. It is only everyone’s dream, but I can’t think of a time that being an Alpha or following an Alpha ever brought anyone happiness. The first I knew could not protect my mother, or therefore me. The next was my uncle and became my father – but we lost our land to bears. He knew only the lonely road that it brought him down. The new two I knew abandoned their packs and their lands when they could not breathe life into it. No… I would suggest thinking long and hard before you pick that role.” Nzingha shook out her pelt to ease the stinging pain that came along with the cleaning of her wounds before remembering that she was supposed to be staying still.

Nzingha sighed and tensed her muscles, preparing for the continued pain. It did not hurt much… no, instead it was more something like an ache that was annoying, or the constant bite of an insect. But what the femme hated the most was merely staying still. To distract herself, she continued to talk to the stranger. “Why all do you want to be an Alpha anyway? It is work and work and work. The work never stops and everyone is relying on you all the time, and those who aren’t are either enacting subterfuge or are overtly trying to steal your throne or your land. I just…” Nzingha growled and shook her head as Milo continued to work on her. “Argh are you almost done with it all?”
