Freebies are often granted to "all active characters". A character is considered active if it has made an IC post within the last 2 weeks. Posts made after the freebie was posted do not count.

the pet shop has returned to shaman, newly revamped with fresh new animals!
your characters can have any ordinary animal (e.g. horse, cat, dog) as a pet in their posts and you don't need to purchase it or post on updates or anything. however, if you would like your character to have a mythical creature as a pet, you can now purchase them from the shops.
go to ooc > shops and scroll down to "pets" to see the options available. new options can be added if there is demand for them. unless stated in the description, pets do not have any of the powers associated with them (e.g. the phoenix doesn't have healing tears, but is immortal because that is explicitly stated).
animals can be bought and assigned on the updates board as normal.
