Like a spider nested within her web, she felt the strings of fate pull her from the boundaries of Asteraia - Thoth, her brother long since reclaimed by Beltane's return to the pack, had chosen to attend the event held within the peaks of Spirane. Beltane had considered it for some time, uncertain and unwilling, and yet her brother's attendence drove her towards the snowcapped peaks; she would not lose her family once more despite their differences. The air tasted different that day, the sky a peculiar shade of blue and so, a heaviness befell her that instructed her to follow and thus, she did.
She moved on tentative paws, a wide arc bringing her across from her brother, the dancers between them moving like water and the wind. She watched them at first and then, her eyes befell upon her brother with a sudden urgency. Her body stiffened, her neck lowering down almost trance-like in its fluidity; her eyes would not waver, boring deep within her brother's as they widened to an owl-like stare. She had seen the arrival of the red woman that often tailed him and with her had come a disturbance, a deep and unfound uncomfortableness that reached deep inside Beltane's very gut.
Perhaps he would see her there, Thoth. She stood for what seemed like aeons and yet it had only been several moments, her posture to serve as a warning to him and yet, she hadn't any idea what there was to warn him of. In her mind, his shadow of a companion continued to flicker into her thoughts, the red of fur like the colour of blood and the blackness of her cape like an abyss. But then, with the giggle and laughter of the others, her trance suddenly broke; like a piece of glass, Beltane's facade suddenly broke. Confused, she shook her head, her ears flattening back for a moment as she glanced about the area, bewildered before she came to her senses again. It was then that she watched the dancers, her head tilted, unable to focus back on her brother who remained the opposite side of it all.
