Before he spoke to Zelda about his accusation, Alistair needed to clear his head. This could not be handled with a scattered mind nor hastiness, it was a delicate matter and one that he needed to present in an untarnished way. His work, though very nearly consistently sensitive, had never quite held this much gravity. Not only would it very likely break the newly reinstated alliance, it would cause incredible tension between the packs themselves, and personal tension between the alphas. He knew that some members of Taviora were personally involved with Eden, friends, even, perhaps, and he wondered how much influence that would have on the outcome. Alistair had served Amoxtli, it was he who had set the deaf male on the path of diplomacy, who had given him a chance to succeed. It was only right that he should find the wolf who had hurt him.
His brain felt like it was rattling around in his head, but there was a tether that kept him somewhat grounded. Moonstone, his imprint- his paws seemed to have guided him to her once more, knowing exactly what he needed. White eyes raised to look at the peaks, unfamiliar to him but seeming like home all the same- because she was here. Alistair wasn't sure what he felt towards her, all he knew that was he liked her, and she kept him feeling sane. Friends, he supposed, they could be called, but he knew that the bond ran deeper than that. Perhaps it wasn't the irresistible desire that some males had, but it was strong in its own way.
And so knowing that talking to her was the only true way to clear his head, he raised his muzzle to call for her, the monotone song echoing across the peaks. The tugging in his heart only grew stronger with proximity, and for a moment he regretted that he had not stayed with her, or convinced her to come to Taviora with him. But their lives were leading them in two different directions. He hoped that would not always be the case, Alistair desired above all else to be close to her- perhaps not entirely physically, but personally as well. He desired to know her because he felt like he had known her for his whole life.
The male settled onto his haunches, eyes flickering over the terrain and waiting for her to approach. It was strange, though, the emotions he was having. He hadn't felt anything similar before.
