Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

I am Orb.
The days were far too quiet for his liking lately. The brindled male spent most of his time wandering the many open lands of Moladian, watching the other wolves from a safe distance while his companions kept up the constant chatter in his head. Sometimes they were more quiet, almost dull whispers that he could tune out but other days, days like today, they were almost shouting in his mind, too loud to ignore and too stubborn to shut down.
He didn't sleep last night and he knew that was a part of it. When he didn't sleep, they grew louder, more impatient with the fact that he wouldn't just fall asleep and let someone else take the wheel. Orb knew the danger that could come of that. Sure, Mags could be the one chosen or even brave Diesel, but what if they weren't the first to take advantage? What if Bandit got control and found another young girl to kidnap? What if he did more horrible things that the rest of them had to watch helplessly, unable to save the girl, unable to cry out for help, unable to do anything more than watch and scream at him to stop.
Of course, Orb wasn't the most vocal creature. He used to be quite the chatter, but once his second year started, he grew more silent, letting the other voices be his own. Sometimes other wolves just thought he was a mute or just dumb but Orb was none of the above. He was just lost, lost in a sea of constant chatter in his own mind. He was a captive wrapped in a prison of his own doing.
When he came across the smell of fresh blood, he just couldn't help himself. His stomach went to growling and he licked his dry lips. It had been a day or so since he tasted water and he knew he needed to hydrate but more than that, he needed to eat. Without sleep, he was feeling drained and he needed to keep going for now. He moved in closer but it was too late by the time he caught on that someone had already beat him to the punch. The scent of the female wolf met his nostrils and his ears flicked back in frustration because he knew he wasn't the best for socializing in this condition and she probably wouldn't just share her meal willy nilly.
Even so, he had to try, so he stopped a few feet away and offered a small swish of his tail.
