Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

this is the end

She seemed so troubled and all he wanted to do was wash them all away. He wanted to comfort her just like it was yesterday that he ran into her and yet he had ruined all that by leaving. Could he go back in time, would he not have gone with the wolf? He was tortured by the incomplete memories of his parents, of knowing his mother and father as parents and yet not feeling like he knew them at all as wolves. It always seemed like they were hiding something so when that wolf offered him knowledge of Devil, he went blindly, hoping for the best. But should he have stayed and seen where things went with Malleah? Yes, probably so.

She seemed ashamed like she didn't mean to come across like that but he didn't mind cause in the back of his mind, he was asking himself the same questions to make sure he would know the answer when it was asked of him. Something the assassins had taught him. Always know your answer before the question is asked. She sat down before him and his face softened. He didn't like to see her in such pain, even if it was a pain that was also known as a blessing. She was going to be a mother again. Surely she would be excited, right?

She didn't seem to expect the words that came from his lips when he spoke and he was almost satisfied to have thrown her off her game. She had seemed so sure of herself when he felt came across her this time, definitely a more confident version of what she was 3 years ago. When he mentioned her pregnancy though, the change in her expression is immediate and the tables are turned once more. She sounded angry and his ears flicked back, brows furrowing in puzzlement at this answer. He waited to hear the rest of it, sure that there was more.

Her next words were even more troubling and of course, he started to think the worst, having seen some of the horrendous things males could do to females while with the assassins. Not all of them were noble of mind. He figured the deeds they did for a living corrupted their conscious. His eyes narrowed and dark thoughts crossed his mind.

"DID HE HURT YOU? DID HE...FORCE HIMSELF ON YOU?"

The question fell from his lips before he could stop them. He had to know and by god, if the wolf in question had ever harmed a hair on her head, he would pay dearly. Exodus would make sure of it. She said that she wished he had stayed and Exodus looked away, the guilt washing over his gaze. He was starting to wish that more and more as well but nothing would change the past. He knew that as well as the sky's color.

When he looked back at her, he was taken aback cause she looked close to tears. His ears flicked back and he felt his heart breaking just to see her like this.

"NO, YOU DIDN'T. THIS ISN'T YOUR FAULT, MALLEAH. DON'T SAY THAT."

Before he could stop himself, Exodus went to her, slowly approaching and trying to read her reaction before he wrapped his neck around her in a loving embrace. He inhaled her sweet perfume, wishing he could stay there forever.
