Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

-SASHA-

Sasha licked her brassy auburn coat threaded with ivory and ebony meticulously, taking particular care to keep the white speckles on her back as clean as she could reach. While some lupine wore their dirt and leaves like badges of honor, she was a tidy creature and always had been, known to spend much of her evenings grooming herself after the day’s work, enjoying how the light of the moon danced upon her own features. She was a stranger here and had settled into the northern forest for now, herself coming from the snowy lands further to the northwest, legions between here and her place of birth. She had no qualms about being alone after so much time travelling, but she was not expecting another creature of her kind to be on its own at this hour in one of the more remote locations of the woodlands.

Voices split the silence of the night. Her Technicolor coat bristled, and she sat straight and erect. Her bat-like ears twitched, rotating around her skull as she listened to the dual tones, bickering, all the while growing closer and closer. The voices were two, but her nose only caught the scent of one. Strange indeed. It caused her to stand, hovering on her long four legs beneath her, Sasha being on the taller side of the spectrum.

That’s when she spotted the muscular shadow gliding across the moonlit forest floor. The other she-wolf strode right past where Sasha stood, the two voices emerging from her own singular body. Curious. Intrigued and feeling protective of the space she’d already deemed to be hers, she started after the strange wolf, keeping pace with the obviously deranged woman but maintaining a considerable distance between them. Her nimble pillars carried her from shadow to shadow, her figure padding silently. She considered outright charging, driving the other female away from where she planned to sleep tonight, but it seemed particularly unkind to attack another female who was clearly troubled and not right in the head.
