I am happy to live here, be a part of this pack that is my family’s. I feel a little guilty, I had, after all, been given to Taviora, but Grandmother asked that I come here now. So was I now given to Asteraia? I only just started my rise in Taviora after all, I was going to go with Zelda to Iromar, sort out what had happened. I think that would have really helped me, her. Now I am hear, but when Halcyon gave me my tasks he said that Iromar would be a part of them too. It seems Iromar had made a lot of wolves very upset, and I was going to figure out how we could end this. Peacefully or not. I wanted to do my best for both Taviora and Asteraia, and I was very happy that already we were allies. They were family, Zelda and Halcyon, it makes since. After all any pack with family in it my mother and grandmother made certain their homes were comfortable with one another. Now it was just me left though. I have no father, brothers sisters. Even my older aunt and uncle out of Tobias also were gone. Our legacy though. It remained. I would make sure of that.
I stared up at the moon during all these thoughts, but soon I was thrown out of it by the site of someone familiar. A white wolf walking across the lands, lower down than myself. I am not exactly sure how I knew him, but I did. I was pretty proud of myself, I was good with faces, so somehow I knew him from somewhere. I took a step and no sooner than I did was I falling. I begin rolling down the hill head over tail yipping and yiping all the way down until I end at the bottom with a sudden ‘oof’! ”Owwww…..” Why… Why was I like this? How unlucky could one girl get in her life that she trips and falls, branches break nearly crushing her. I swear I almost got hit by lightning once… I get why my mother called me Jinx but really? Does my name have to be that influential?
I slowly get myself back on my feet, my body aching and cracking with every small movement. My blue and red eyes quickly scan the area around me, but I don’t see this white wolf. Dammit! Where did he go! I am back up on my long grey legs looking back and forths for where he could have gone before running. I see him finally above my grandmother’s old den… and slow myself. Why is he there? He looks like a glowing body under the moonlight with his fur as bright as it is, I had no idea he used to be my mother’s imprint, I do recall her mentioning him to me, don’t recall seeing anyone around but Starfall… I knew she had an imprint, knew his name, but nothing beyond that, not what he looked like, not what he acted like.
I move towards him now with a purpose, my form puffing up slightly as he lays over the den that has my grandmother’s remains buried close by. I had been here of course, but I had no idea this was where he would have been going. ”Excuse m-EEEP!” I would find the one rock to trip over, the one rock that would cause me to fall on my red marked face and further put more grass and dirt into my fur. Was once not enough! I already fell down a hill! Why! Was I simply that clumsy or really did I have to embarrass myself infront of everyone I met to make the gods happy!
Thankfully I am used to this, or sadly… it depended on how one looked at it. I quickly recover myself, standing up and looking as dignified as I possibly could for someone who just face planted. ”Ehh-mmm.” I clear my throat before continuing just where I left off. ”You know you are sleeping over graves, right?” I mean how could he not? There were stones marking the location where Grandmother and her imprint rested. Why he chose here to rest. That was what interested me, why I was perhaps a little defensive.
