aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

I Feel Like Jekyll and Hyde

The tall brute paced at the border while he waited to hear for any signs of the king and queen’s return. He had never been a patient being, but he often put on the façade of one. He knew that he needed to keep up the persona he had made so that Conan and Mireille didn’t suspect anything bad of him. He would have Seraphina back, and there was no one that would stop him from having her. When he heard the sound of wolves approaching he sat down at the borders, a warm and pleasant smile upon his features as he looked forward to seeing the femme that had run away. The brute introduced himself to this prince of Aurora Borealis, sensing that he was not welcome here from Vladmir’s tense reaction, “Kael. Charmed.”. Kael gave him another smile, not phased at all by this younger male’s unhappiness that he was here. So far though, the female didn’t seem to know who he was. Light brown orbs looked her over, seeing how she had grown since he had last seen her. He was still older than her, but she was no longer a pup and had grown to be quite attractive.

Kael’s head turned to face Mireille as she spoke to her daughter, “You remember Kael, don’t you Seraphina?” His russet colored form turned back to Seraphina, waiting for the recognition. Her orbs widened as she realized who he was, and he smiled at her in response. “Of course. It’s been awhile, Prince Kael. I didn’t think I’d ever see you again.” Kael stood and approached her, going to rub against her in a friendly greeting as long as she did not turn away from him. ”I am glad to see you again, Seraphina. I always hoped that we would meet again.” Then the femme asked the question that was on all of their minds, why they were here. “Why are you all here, if you don’t mind my asking?” The brute caught her glance to Vladmir, and he could tell that there was something going on between these two. But that wouldn’t stop Kael, it would just make things a bit more interesting. Before he could speak up, Mireille was explaining the obvious,
“We’re here to bring you home, Seraphina. It’s time you take your rightful place in the pack.”

Vladmir was the first to respond. He had been growing more and more angry as their conversation went on, and he wasn’t good at hiding it. “Seraphina is home and it is here that is her rightful place.” Kael wanted to laugh at him, at how wrong he was, but he didn’t. He was better at keeping his appearances up than this young prince. Before Kael could respond to the other brute’s foolish comment, they were joined by another varg, this one a snow white color, sticking out from the group. The new male didn’t take long to try and appease the situation that was becoming more tense. “I believe what my brother meant was that he appreciated that you all have come a great distance to visit our dear Seraphina, and that you all must be exhausted. The drought that has struck Blossom Forest no doubt is far spread, but feel free to hunt within our boundaries as we have managed to keep a fair share of prey within our borders. Please take time to rest and relax, we have empty dens in the mountain about one mile to the southwest of here, that you can use and once you are rested, we can revisit all of this in a calm manner.” Kael smiled at this new brute, glancing at Vladimir who was not hiding his displease at his brothers words. The two brother’s fought to speak up, this new brute speaking over the younger one to try and keep the situation peaceful before he introduced himself. Kael did not know the politics of this pack, or any of the packs in these lands, so he could care less who was alpha and who was not, but he still bowed his head in respect to Aindreas when he told them who he was. The red and white brute stepped forward once more, to introduce himself to this leader, and to stay on his good side for when he would take Seraphina away. ”Hello Aindreas, it is nice to meet you. My name is Kael, Prince of a pack far away from here.”

Aindreas extended the hospitalities to the three visitors more by offering to take them on a tour. Kael figured that it would be easier if the three toured with Seraphina and not Vladimir and Aindreas, but where would the fun in that be? The brute was not threatened by either of the brothers, so he saw no harm in having the alpha show them around. Kael turned his brown orbs to the other brute’s bright blue ones as he spoke, a smile upon his features once more. ”A tour would be great, as long as Seraphina would be willing to join us?” He turned the last question to the femme, hoping that she would come with them happily. She may remember who he was, but did she really remember? Did she remember that she was promised to him? That the two were betrothed and she had no choice but to be with him? The brute’s stilts carried him over to the femme, smiling in hopes that she would agree to come along with them.
