A slow panic had started to rise in Solstice. There was something off in the world and she could sense it in her bones. Even as the sun had begun to rise on the springs of new days she felt the lingering shadows of night. Her soul had been completed when she had found Halcyon, and her world shifted when she found herself in the land her father had kept her from for so long. The more she lingered, the more...off…she felt. A strange need had driven her to seek out her father, and her brother, the scents becoming confused with everything around her and with each other. Samhain, it seemed, would walk and vanish in a step.
The young woman was searching endlessly for her father, having narrowed his whereabouts down just slightly. Her creamy gold form paced the borders of the southern packs, her nose to the ground as she tried desperately to find her father. For the first time the flowers and life around her went unnoticed, her desperation starting to rise with every step. It was not until the scent of blood hit her nose that her concern truly flair. Pale tipped paws had her racing over the land. She had heard whispers of giant beasts in the freelands, and rumors about the Alpha of Iromer nearby. Swiftly, she slid to a stop close to the birthing mother, soft whimpers of encouragement issuing from her lips. She dared not get too close to a stranger, especially one with new pups, but still, the sight of fresh life brought a smile to the young girl’s face.
Congratulations! She said, her glee shining through her hesitancy. Mismatched eyes looked up. Seeing no one, she looked back at the tired mother, this time concerned. Is there anything I can get for you? Anyone you need me to find?
Her own search put aside, she wanted to help ensure the life and safety of this mother and her children. Though the world was still off balance, the dark of the night could be killed by the light of life.
