Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

I am Magnolia.
There was another wolf there before she could compose herself, a larger male, not much older than her but definitely larger and more confident. He held himself like he knew what he was all about and when he said his name and where he came from, his voice almost had a booming quality to it like it already showed the adult he would become. Mags felt her old fears settling in and she shriveled in a little on herself, her head ducking and her ears flicking back. Her tail lowered and she took a hesitant step back. He gave his name and the pack Glorall was at least familiar to her. That wolf Inanna who talked to Orb. She was from that pack! But Mags wasn't the one to ask about it. She was just too shy.
The girl she had approached only looked confused at first but then she was prancing at her and Mags withdrew even further, not used to such outgoing activity. The girl stretched her nose out and Mags jerked her head back her eyes blinking and then widening before she realized that the girl only wanted to greet her. She didn't want to chase her off? This was new territory for her. The girl said hi but drew back with more confusion, taking her in one last time before she turned to the other wolf and greeted him. She gave her name as Talien and Mags nodded slowly. So Talien and Thor. Not so bad so far, right?
When Talien suddenly turned back to her, Mags shifted again and tucked her tail.
"P-PACK? NO. I'M STILL N-NEW HERE."
She barely got the words out. She felt out of breath and unsure of herself, overwhelmed. Then the girl was asking Thor about Glorall and this did make a soft smile form on Mags' lips as she remembered what Inanna had said. Sun and waves.
"VACATION EVERY DAY..."
She whispered, more to herself than anything. It sounded so blissful and peaceful. Bandit rolled his eyes and growled.
"OH, COME OFF IT, MAGPIE. IT'S NOT A FUCKING VACATION, IT'S A PACK. OTHER WOLVES THAT HOLD SECRETS AND MAY NOT BE ALL THAT THEY SAY THEY ARE. TRAITORS AND LIARS AND YES, EVEN KIDNAPPERS."
His eyes glistened at her daringly. She shriveled back, her form crouching to the ground as she shook her head and closed her eyes.
"N-NO. THEY'RE NOT ALL LIKE Y-YOU."
Bandit laughed but Diesel was already stepping forward, his booming voice domineering and final.
"CAN IT, BANDIT. YOU'RE SCARING HER. CAN'T YOU SEE SHE'S TRYING TO MAKE FRIENDS?"
He looked at Bandit in disapproval. Bandit only laughed harder.
"WHATEVER YOU SAY, AMIGO. FRIENDS AREN'T REAL. BUT YOU GO RIGHT AHEAD, MAGPIE. TALK TO THE OTHER WOLVES AND WATCH AS THEY ALL CALL YOU FREAK AND GO THE OTHER WAY."
She quivered, still not opening her eyes for fear of what she may say. The voices all fell from the same lips though the only actions to be seen would be her own. She was in control of the body, but their voices were never silent. Orb's was the only one to stay silent when he wasn't in control. Another wolf had approached, a female. She held herself with some sort of confidence just as the male Thor had but it was a different kind of confidence, the kind that held authority. A ranked wolf here? Mags had slowly opened her eyes and this was the first thing she saw. Instantly she regretted opening her eyes. The wolf called herself Zelda and Mags shifted, keeping her body touching the ground. Maybe she wouldn't be seen if she just stayed here. At least this Zelda didn't seem too interested in her. She said her name but her gaze only lingered on Thor. Maybe she could be invisible after all.
And yet another wolf came, a dark roguish male who also looked her like she was an oddity, something she was used to. He jumped so easily into the conversation, almost as if there was a spot reserved specifically for him. He called himself Navarre and Mags thought it sounded foreign and interesting. He had that charmer's smile and the twinkle in his eyes that she was sure gained a lot of attention from the fairer sex. She was certainly sold but she would never have the audacity to flirt. She was too used to rejection. He only seemed to have eyes for Zelda, after all. Of course, they would all soon have friends and acquaintances and she was too quiet, too reserved. Maybe she should just sneak out while she has the chance...
