Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He was ever aware of the female walking steadily behind him but somehow he drew no fear from her presence. He didn't exactly feel safe but he didn't feel like he was in imminent danger, either. For now, they were on the same side, and that would have to be enough. She had an intelligence about her. He could see it in every flicker of those amber eyes. She knew what she was doing, even if she didn't speak completely fluent to communicate it. She kept inhaling his scent and after a while, it seemed almost on purpose, like she was trying to draw as much of information off of his fur as she could. She was studying him and the thought caused a small scowl on his lips for a moment. She was allowed to study him but by her putting him in front, he wasn't allowed to study anything about her for now. He would just have to keep walking and remain patient.

As he paused to study a tree and the scents on it, he saw her lift her head, her nose twitching as if trying to read the air. Finally she said old and he could only assume she meant that the scents were not fresh enough to peak her interest. Nodding in acknowledgement, he continued walking, figuring she would want to continue. Then she said something about his smell and Thor paused, turning his curious gaze on her with one brow raised in question, waiting patiently for her to finish her sentence. She was trying to tell him something; he just wasn't sure what. Her eyes were distant, as if she was thinking long and hard about something every time she inhaled his scent. He scowled in thought himself, eve sniffing his own shoulder momentarily to make sure he didn't roll in something particularly stinky earlier or something. No, all he could smell was Glorall, Samia, and Inanna. And perhaps Talien and a few wolves from the imprint gathering. But mostly Glorall.

The beach scent was hard to get rid of completely. It was like the salt air absorbed into your flesh and lived there. He didn't mind, of course. When suddenly her head lifted up, he tilted his in puzzlement, ears pricking forward as she told him to bring her back. To Glorall? His ears flicked back and then forward again at her, blinking in surprise as he thought. She wasn't exactly trustworthy to bring back to the pack but what's the worst that could happen? She was one wolf. If she attacked anyone, then he would be there to defend his pack and he could call for help. She would be outnumbered. Of course, he didn't want it to come to that. He was actually enjoying himself, even if he didn't understand half of what she said or did. She was an interesting creature and he was feeling almost PEDANTIC, wanting to know all he could about her, maybe even impress her with his own knowledge while he was at it.

She motioned her head, obviously wanting him to walk again.

"OKAY THEN. TO GLORALL, WE GO."

He was almost disappointed that they wouldn't be hunting the predators tonight, but it wasn't like he could control what she wanted. Instead, he just kept walking until Glorall's borders were in sight. He paused at the invisible line, glancing back to make sure this was still what she wanted before he stepped over and then looked back to make sure she was still coming.

"ANYWHERE IN PARTICULAR WE'RE HEADING?"
