He bullrushes the male before him, charging immediately into a fray so as to take hold of the young male - but the young wolf is too fast, too lithe. He almost continued onward towards his prize but the male snaps at his leg and there is a sharp spike of pain to spur his rage and turn him back on himself with a rise and fall and toppling pivot. It is insensing to the great golden beast, and he does not even realize his sacrificial lamb has made a getaway that sacrificed her defender in her stead.

Tithe’s arrival does not distract so much as the bite to his leg had done, not with a mere snarl - no matter how ferocious. It was nothing in light of the bear’s own roaring bellow. Another swipe at Teza is made even before Tithe could charge into the middle and put himself into the line of fire.

Once the silver male did make his entrance though, the instinct to remove the greater threat did take over. The bear moves, lifting its bulk and taking steps on hind legs in order to land squarely on either of the now bunched canids bodies. If it cannot do so, however, there are still teeth to grab and claws to swipe at escaping forms. He would not come out of this as the only one bloodied if he could help it. He would at least have his retribution for thwarted hopes and a ruined ritual that might have sustained him in his winter-born hunger.
