It feels so nice to have him back. I had felt incredibly sad after he had left but my time had been occupied with helping my parents with our sisters and then training with Hadrian. It was safe to say that I had thrown myself into my work with fervency as a way to distract myself from missing him. After our parents passed and my sisters left, well, things had been incredibly dark for a while. I remember sitting on the edge of the cliff wishing that I wasn't alone. Crying and missing them and him because I had no one else. Almost I had given up and went to seek out company with one of my older siblings but it felt like the heart of me would be ripped to leave Glorall. To leave the den my parents had shared with us. So I stayed and I prevailed and then I met Israfel.
I stare at my brother for a few seconds, a dopey looking smile on my face because seeing him here, having him help, it has completed me. He has always been my rock. Without him I was cast adrift but all has been righted for the moment. I smile smugly at his next words, looking down at the pile around me. "But if I tell you then you'll never learn. Besides, a bad taste you can handle, poison you cannot." Then I grin at him, eyes twinkling. "Although, if I poisoned you then it would be good practice to get you the antidote." My voice is a jest as I wag my tail.
I gasp in surprise and pleasure at his next words before beaming at him, tail whipping back and forth before I giggle at his words. He was always so brazen, my brother, and I was always the quiet and somber one. But I loved that about him. He was a trailblazer. "You are staying!" There is unfettered happiness in my voice as I step daintily to his side and lick his cheek. Until he flicked dust up at me and I headbutted his shoulder with a sly look. "Did you know?"
I step back now and look around, left, then right, then back at him seriously. "That to be a Blade that you have to be fast?" And then I took off with a squeal as my heart began to race along with my body, headed in a haphazard fashion down the beach knowing he would be on my tail in seconds when he realized my challenge.
