She looked down at him with such expectancy, like he was about to turn the sun on for eternity or something so grand as that. He didn't know what to make of it but it wasn't exactly a bad thing if she expected a lot of him, right? It so happened that Fen had some high expectations for himself anyway. He would be fast and smart like Ankh and strong and noble like Viserys. He would make sure Xerxes knew he wasn't the favorite while he was at it but that was all in good fun. Tikal, at least, was more likable so she deserved to be the favorite and if not, then Fen would be more than happy to fill that void. The female before him was play bowing which only made his rear wiggle more. She was so exciting! It wasn't often that he found adults that would play like him like this. His mother's health wasn't well enough yet to play with him so he took it easy on her and his father was either taking care of his mom or doing other things. He didn't blame him for not having the time or anything but it didn't make this moment any less spectacular in his mind. He had an older playmate now! Xerxes would be so jealous!
She told him that younger rabbits could be trustworthy and he wagged his tail only faster if that's possible, turning his gaze back on the fluffy tail he had been watching. His whispering wasn't exactly up to par but he was trying.
"HOW OLD DO YOU THINK THAT ONE IS? THINK IT WOULD LIKE ME?"
His eyes were little wide saucers, antsy to get started on playing with the rabbits. When she crouched low and looked at him, he did his best to mimic her actions, his belly touching the ground and he ever stuck his tongue out the side of his mouth in concentration, his tiny brows furrowing as he tried to stay still and belly crawl slowly just as she did. She told him to stay quiet and calm and he nodded. He could surely do that. And he was already small so that worked out for him! He glanced back toward the rabbits, waiting expectantly for one to see him and want to be his friend. Surely they would see how friendly and fun he can be! His tail was still going behind him but he didn't think that would scare them off. Tail wagging was a good sign, after all! She told him gentle movements and he paused for a moment, glancing back at his tail. Did that mean that he shouldn't be wagging it? He glanced back at her, concentrating even harder now on trying to slow down his tail but it was so hard! Especially when he noticed a rabbit looking their way.
"IT'S LOOKING, IT'S LOOKING!
He tried so hard to whisper the words but they came out louder than a whisper and frantic in his excitement. He couldn't hold it in much longer!
